Happy Birthday To... Me!

Today I'm 24. For my birthday, I would like exam scores that are at least my new age multiplied by 3.

(For those with the barest of math skills, you can see that I am not asking much.)

I have a bit of the birthday blues. I wish I didn't have to be bottled up studying, and I feel very out of touch with my normal life.

In a related story, today Cirrus said, "J.Lo is so out of touch with reality!" But we were talking about the trademark litigation she is going through with her perfume, JLO Glow.

I am...

Listening to: Pink Martini's "No Hay Problema"
Reading: criminal procedure law outlines
Wearing: t-shirt and board shorts
Thinking About: testtaking, cloud-like beds, and working out
Feeling: a little lonely

What do you think? Should I blow out the candle?

Personality of the Month

Dozer

Over a hundred stalks of grass munched on.

Memorable Quote: "Meow."

May Flowers

With the start of each new month, I have a couple of reactions:

"Oh, hell yeah! My cell phone minutes reset!" and "Oh, hell no! I forgot to pay rent!"

That's life for you. The yin and the yang. The good and the bad. The tastes great and less filling. Oh wait, both of those are supposed to be favorable.

Vicky has decided to "bite me" and start this picture thang, but I have to first say that I got the inspiration and burning desire to "learn within the next 5 minutes or never go to sleep" after seeing Mary's. In my opinion, these girls are both lookers. Hey, I don't mind endorsing the fam!

Today my German buddy Frank told me that the Swiss accent is sort of disgusting, because they talk from the back of their throat. I did not know this. I asked him to transpose what that might be like in English, and he told me you simply cannot transpose accents across languages. It just does not work like that; makes no sense. An accent is an accent and will stay the same no matter what language you are speaking. This is the wisdom of someone who is actually ranked 9th overall in Bavaria based on his regional exam scores. He was also very patient with me in the past few weeks as I brought him my totally inept and unpolitically correct queries about Nazi Germany. Among them, "How did they come up with a crazy name like Nazi?" And he pointed out to me that it's actually short for their translation of National Socialist Party.

I was like, "Ohhhh. Oops."

This is Me... Now

Just a little photo test. Tracy, thanks for the tips! Obviously they helped. Now I get a little more creative with this thing.

Not exactly a foray into photojournalism, but we've all got to start somewhere! And I work for free.
