The Best Damn Law School Party. Period.

That was last night. It was the spring luau at the golf course, and it was like the Halloween party without the cold and the annoying costumes that make you wonder who the hell that guy is. It was just relaxed, good old debauchery, and I never so enjoyed spreading myself thin. For most of my friends, it's their last law school party, and we all savored the moment.

I will also include here the best line from the Oscars. Steve Martin said of a Latin presenter, "I'd do anything to have his body, except exercise and eat right."

Ain't dat da troof! How often have I felt exactly the same way.

I've had a lot of good times this week. Good company and good food, all around.

Cancer-Free and Lovin' It

Was the little tumor ever really cancer? Whatever the case, I'm glad it's gone. So the minor surgical procedure is over with and the convalescence is really getting in the way of my Pilates. I got me a teeny 3-inch scar that hopefully won't look frightening with swimwear. I seriously don't know how people deal with any kind of surgery, much less something as frivolous as plastic surgery. I have to admit, prior to this week, I was all for the proverbial rhinoplasty and breast augmentation. But now, forget it. I'll stick with what I have because I really do not care to go under the scalpel ever again. Hey, Jacko, how do you do it? I am referring, of course, to those two surgeries on his nose that he had done to help him hit the high notes.

I'm feeling better than I have in a long time. I missed out on the Vegas trip but was finally able to try Locanda Veneta on 3rd. It actually cost about 8 Italian dinners rather than 1, but the experience and company did make up for it. I've been keeping busy with Age of Empires 2, James Bond, and the Golden Girls. As always.

There is a dog and cat at home and they both love napping with me.

I now own every Ian Fleming book, except for, "You Only Live Twice," which ironically was the only one I ever really wanted. This reminds me of the time when I had 10,000 spoons when all I needed was a knife.

Hi, I'm Back!

I've been on blog sabbatical because I was wrapped up in a Moot Court competition. I did well; I'm gratified, and I'm grateful for all of the positivity that came from it.

I'm undergoing a minor surgical procedure on Monday. Here are my most pressing concerns:

1) Will the anesthesia work, or will I really have to bite on a wood chip to numb the pain?
2) Will the stitches show so that I cannot wear halter tops?
3) Will I recover quickly enough to join my friends in Vegas afterwards?

HEY -- IT'S YOUR SPRING BREAK, TOO!
